Te Mata house wins national award for architecture from NZIA

The Te Mata house designed by Stevens Lawson Architects has been honoured with a New Zealand Architecture award, from the NZ Institute of Architects. The New Zealand Architecture Award recognises outstanding new architecture within this country.

This was one of five houses within the country to receive this award, including another project carried out by Stevens Lawson, near Wanaka. We extend our congratulations to the architects and the clients, with whom we had the pleasure to work - in designing and installing the garden for the house.

O2 Landscapes has been fortunate to make gardens for several architecturally exciting projects over the years (including a Hotwater Beach house and a residence at Leigh Harbour, both of which received New Zealand Architecture Awards). The garden for the Te Mata house also recently appeared in the 2011 landscaping special of HOME New Zealand magazine. To find out about the garden, and see images of it, check out the profile on the 'Portfolio' section of the website.
